A child hit by a car while leaving the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson on Friday night has been released from the hospital, but his family remained hospitalized, a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper said just before 2 p.m. Saturday. The three, which included two Hutchinson adults, were leaving the fair just after 10:30 p.m. Friday when they were hit by a 22-year-old Hutchinson man driving a 2008 Chevrolet Aveo near 300 E. State Fair Road, which is on the north side of the property. The driver stayed on scene and there were no signs of impairment, KHP trooper Chad Crittenden said.
