Marilyn Janice Hines, 78, died 25, 2023, at her home in Hutchinson. She was born Aug. 23, 1944, in Lake Charles, La., to William Abraham and Mabel Estell (Bowen) Johnson. Marilyn graduated from Lorraine High School, Lorraine, and Salt City Business College, Hutchinson. She worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of California for 32 years, retiring as Director of Human Resources. Retirement brought her back to Kansas in 2014. Marilyn loved to travel the world over with friends. She thoroughly enjoyed HHS and HCC sports, especially following great-nieces Macie and Kaitlin.
