Nelson has previous convictions for theft, evading a road block and for drugs. He had been on parole since July, according to the Kansas Dept. of Corrections. RENO COUNTY— A Kansas man is awaiting extradition to Kansas from Colorado in connection with the homicide of another Hutchinson man whose body was found in Harvey County last week. The body of 31-year-old Tyler Lee Ford of Hutchinson was found in East Park in Harvey County on Sept. 17. It was determined Ford died from a gunshot wound. A joint homicide investigation began involving numerous officers and detectives from the Harvey County Sheriff's Office, Reno County Sheriff's Office, and the Hutchinson Police Department.
